What this policy covers. This policy describes only the information NovaResp uses to run the SMS and email messaging program — sending your check-in link, knowing when it’s opened, and honouring opt-outs. The responses you submit through the link are study data, governed by the separate consent you signed at enrollment, and are not addressed here.

What we use

The phone number and/or email address you provided at enrollment, so we can send you messages.
Records of which messages were sent to you and your opt-out status.
Basic technical information when you open a link (IP address, time, device type) for security and operational diagnostics.

Why we use it

For one purpose: to operate the messaging program. That means sending your check-in messages, recording when a link is opened, honouring opt-outs, and keeping the system secure. We don’t use it for anything else.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your information. We don’t use it for advertising or marketing. We don’t share it with anyone outside NovaResp except service providers acting on our behalf under contract (for hosting and message delivery).

Opting out

Reply STOP to any SMS, or email studies@novaresp.com, to stop receiving messages.

How long we keep it

Only as long as needed to run the Program and meet NovaResp’s record-keeping obligations.

Where it’s stored

On Microsoft Azure infrastructure in Canada.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated through the Program.
